We don’t merely post a job on a website, or cull through resumes from our database, however. Getting to know an organization – its personnel, its mission, its future goals – is vital to successful leadership searches. And the search doesn’t begin with finding the ‘right’ candidate.

  • Clapham Circles becomes familiar with your culture, history, governance model, and stakeholders in order to find a leader that best aligns with your unique needs. 

    We build relationships with the people who pour their own hearts into the heart of the institution. Only after we’ve learned the culture can we begin to find the right candidate.

     

    The successful leader (hire) will not merely understand and fit the institution’s culture as it currently stands, but will also be able to mold and shape the culture for the institution’s future.

  • We utilize our own executive database, networks and relationships with leaders throughout the country and globally. Additionally we continually post in specific leadership databases for local and nonlocal talent.

  • In each area, a search team works to learn the organization’s Strengths and Weaknesses, the Opportunities that await, and the Threats to its current and future health. The search team remains alert for cultural cues of the organization that will help identify the kind of leader needed – one who is willing to meet weakness, who isn’t cowed by threats, who possesses obvious personal strengths and enhances others’ strengths as well.
