Brian Hudson is a globally recognized leader in strategic planning, public speaking, fundraising, Christian worldview and developing vibrant organizational cultures.  Brian’s life work has been dedicated to growing kingdom organizations to the glory of God.

In 2014 he co-founded Clapham Circle, a collaborative consulting firm dedicated to assisting nonprofit organizations to enhance visibility, influence, and impact. Clapham Circle’s passion for assisting partner nonprofits has helped build vibrant culture, compelling stories, and generating funds in excess of $2 million in additional income for those groups.

Brian is a proven leader with over 25 years experience in nonprofit, and educational enterprise, and business. For sixteen years Brian served as CEO and administrator of Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. His leadership was an instrumental part of the school’s growth from 15 students to over 400 in under seven years.

​

He continues to serve in China in various Christian educational capacities. Brian has taken part in developing strategic partnerships, professional training, keynote addresses, consulting, and student recruiting throughout the country.

​

Brian’s expertise in board governance has given him the opportunity to serve on various boards including Hope Healthcare Services, Pacific Link International Educational Services, The Institute for Christian Thought, The Indiana Non-Public Education Association, and Anchors Away, Inc., and others. He’s served as conference speaker, board member, and Indiana State representative, for the Association of Christian Schools International.

In the private sector, Brian served as president of Mina Business Solutions in the logistics industry where he helped manage over 250 trucks, generating over $45 million in revenue. He also owns and operates two manufacturing companies in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Brian is currently a Senior Fellow at The Sagamore Institute, a social entrepreneurial think tank that is tackling hard social issues across the country and around the world.

Brian received his Bachelor’s degree from Taylor University, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also has a Master of Arts degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Masters in Education from Columbia International University.  

Before partnering with Clapham Circle, J.K. was the Executive Minister at the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills, IL where he led in organizational development and strategic planning.  Prior to this role J.K. was involved in Christian education ministries for 25 years in Indianapolis, IN, including a 20-year stretch (from 1987 to 2007) when he founded and led Traders Point Christian Academy.  During that time the school grew from a preschool of 100 students to a complete preschool through eighth grade program with 550 students with state and regional accreditation. He also led the relocation to a free standing 67,000 square foot K-8 school building in 2007.

 

Discipleship has been the ministry passion for J.K. through ministries focused on helping Christians grow in their faith across age groups and settings.  In a specific focus, he developed a passion for helping Christians understand and develop a biblically-based worldview.  What began as a project in 1997 with Lincoln Christian University became a curriculum for eighth graders and a course offered for adults in church groups, classes, retreats, and other settings, including audiences overseas. He pursued this interest through the Colson Fellows program, completing that training in 2010. He currently serves as a Colson affiliate leader in Illinois and Indiana.

 

J.K. has been a member and officer on many boards including CMO (Thailand), C2C (China), Heritage Christian School (Indianapolis, IN), the Indiana Non-public Education Association, the Fellowship of Christian Ministers, and the Marion County (IN) 4-H and Agricultural Fair.  He was on the founding board of the Sagamore Leadership Initiative, a central Indiana leadership program for high school students.  He has also served on the Mid-America Council for the Association of Christian Schools International and on several ACSI accreditation teams.  In a number of these settings J.K. assisted in leadership transitions and problem resolution.

 

A native of Indianapolis, J.K. is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University (Lincoln, IL) with Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Religious Education degrees. He achieved a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Columbia International University (Columbia, SC) in 2021. He completed the C.S. Lewis Fellows program in spiritual development in 2015.  He currently serves as an adjunct instructor for Lincoln Christian University and is on the international instructional team for the TCMI Institute.

 

J.K. and his wife, Edna Mae, married in 1971.  They have four married children and eight grandchildren.  J.K. has been recognized by his home high school, Lincoln Christian University, and the Indiana Non-public Education Association with lifetime awards for community service, ministry, and leadership.
